Who Is Master Leão Teixeira
Red-and-White Belt (8th Degree), José Henrique Leão Teixeira Filho — known in the Jiu-Jitsu world as “Zé Beleza” — is one of the masters who helped shape the history of the “arte suave” in Brazil and around the world.
A direct student of the legendary Rolls Gracie and promoted to black belt by Carlos Gracie Jr., he was one of the founders of Gracie Barra and co-founder of CBJJ/IBJJF, today the largest governing body in the sport. His lineage connects directly to the very origins of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu:
